I use Bing on my computers and I pretty much like it.  So I was pleased when Bing released an app for the iPhone.  For the most part I like the way the Bing app is put together, it has a good usable interface.

There is however a flaw, which is a deal killer for me ever using the Bing app:  when I find a site using the Bing app it opens that web page within the Bing application itself.  There is no way to email the URL to either myself or others, there is no way to bookmark it, there is no way to use the Read it Later app.  I use these functions all the time in Safari on my iPhone, but I cannot use them inside the Bing app.  That is a problem and a fatal flaw.

Bing could rectify this by giving me the option to open the site in Safari.  Bing could rectify this by just opening everything in Safari.  Frankly, for me, the Bing Mobile web site works much better.

So I will continue to use Yahoo within Safari as my default search engine on the iPhone where I will not be walled in.
